Metropolis to expand diagnostic centres

Metropolis Healthcare is planning to expand its diagnostic centres with an investment of Rs. 500 million. It plans to increase its centres from current 55 and likely to add 15 more centres through acquisition or green field laboratories. Around 200 million is earmarked for green field labs and its investment programmes is met from internal accruals. Its revenue has also grown from Rs. 2500 million to Rs. 3500 million last year. Currently, the Indian diagnostic market is estimated at Rs. 100 billion and is growing at 15 % annually.
