Apollo Hospitals to set up hospitals in rural area

Apollo Hospital, the leading group of hospitals in urban centres is now planning to set up a chain of 250 hospitals in semi-urban and rural area with an investment of Rs. 125000 million. In the first phase, 25 such hospitals will be set up including 5 in Gujarat. Each hospital will require investment of Rs.500 million. The company is also setting up a R&D centre in Ahmedabad with association of Cadilla Pharma and Stem Clyte. It has plans to set up para medical centres and to invest in stem cell research and medical equipments.
