Tata Group has set up a not-for-profit cancer hospital in Kolkatta with an investment of Rs. 3500 million. The funding for the
project has come from Tata Trust and other Tata group companies. The hospital will provide free treatment for cancer patients who
cannot afford treatment and also provide subsidized treatment in the paying category. The hospital is set up on the model of Tata
Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. In the first phase, the hospital has 170 beds.
