MIOT Hospital sets up new facility for cancer in Chennai

Project Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu

MIOT Hospitals, Chennai is setting up a speciality cancer centre at its existing site at Nandambakkam, Chennai. It will specialize in cancer surgery, medical oncology, radio therapy, bone marrow transplant and nuclear medicine. L&T had awarded the EPC work and the work is likely to be completed by mid 2012. The new facility will have 13 floors with 14 operation theatres, 500 premium rooms and 100 beds for critical care. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 2800 million, of which Rs. 280 million will be spent on "True Beam" radio therapy machine from Varian from US. The project is being funded by bank loans
