GE Healthcare, a medical devices company which manufactures medical diagnostics systems and other healthcare devices is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Bangalore. It will manufacture modern PET/CT molecular imaging systems which are used for early detection of cancer, heart diseases and brain disorder. It is also partnering a Californian company – Varian Medical Systems to manufacture medical systems which are used in treatment of cancer. According to sources, manufacturing medical systems in India are 30-40% cheaper.
