Global Hospitals, promoted by Dr. Ravindranath had installed a TrueBeam STx radiation therapy machine from Varian Medical Systems of Germany, which will help to provide 360 deg cancer treatment. It is a first of a kind in Asia Pacific, and only 145 such machines are in operation in the world. The company is planning to set up such advanced care centres in other cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai by 2012.
