Moopen to set up 10 hospitals in India by 2015

Moopen Group, a Dubai based healthcare group is planning to invest Rs. 8000 million over a period of 5 years. The company which believes that healthcare is philanthropy has many CSR programmes like free dialysis. The company had acquired some stakes in local hospitals in Kolhapur and looking for more such deals. It has already set up two hospitals in Kerala

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) plans expansion of healthcare services

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), a Bangalore-based Rs 100-crore multi-speciality hospital is planing an Rs.2000 million expansion agenda aimed at doubling its patient handling capacity. The hospital, run by a diversified business group owned by D K Audikesavulu, has 1,150 beds and is looking to double this in two years time. The institute which is situated in Bangalore’s Whitefield, next to Satya Sai Hospital, has 75 acres of land. The upcoming expansion will see the hospital developing into a full-fledged Health City with a number of disciplines added in its portfolio. According to industry information, VIMS is understood to be scouting for a joint venture partner and has had discussions with the Parkway Group of Singapore in this connection.

Sevenhills Hospitals setting up Asia’s largest private sector hospital in Andheri

Sevenhills Hospitals setting up Asia’s largest private sector hospital in Andheri in Mumbai is to become operational. The hospital has 15000 beds will start its initial operations with 300 beds is built upon 17 acres and to have 2 million sq. feet with 16 blocks of 11 floors each. The project is funded by a consortium of 10 banks with debt:equity ratio of 1:1.3. Revenue for the hospital is expected to be around Rs.2500 million in the first year and to grow to Rs.4500 million in the next 3 years.

Fortis to set up cancer unit at its Noida hospital

Fortis Hospitals, a leading hospital chain is setting up a new cancer care unit at its Noida hospital with an investment of Rs. 300 million. It will come up in an area of 30,000 sq.feet and will be operational by 3rd quarter of fiscal 2010. The hospital has entered into an exclusive technology tie up with International Oncology Services, a US based cancer service center.
